This development consisting of two three-bedroom town houses is robust in construction yet rich in architectural merit. Town and unit development has become an extremely difficult process due to the ever-growing list of government driven compliance issues. The client came to us seeking an impacting result to mirror the stunning sea views and in response – whilst complying with government regulations, the original 1940’s three bedroom home was demolished - giving way to this polished, contemporary two town house development.
A combination of sponge finished render and dynamic weather board, indigenous sandstone was used and features include cantilever concrete decks, glass balustrades, Merbau hardwood staircases and beautifully crafted custom-made American oak vanity units.
Matt Martin Building’s involvement began with the demolishment of the existing house and included assisting in the selections of colours and materials and the layouts of bathrooms and kitchens. Construction took just under twelve months.
